Northern Region Family Picnic

Several weeks ago the Northern Region gathered at Randol Mill park in Arlington, Tx for the Jason's Deli family picnic. Some of the highlights pictured above include DM's Nick Roark and Michael Johnson manning the giant smoker. Also bounce houses for the kids and some very creative pinata's for the contest that was held. Thank you to all of the corporate staff who worked and helped organize the event.

Austin Street Shelter Visit

On October 14th employees from Nick Roark's district, JDD and corporate staff together with their families served food to more than 350 people. The Austin Street Centre is a homeless shelter near downtown Dallas, Tx. They do a lot of great work at the shelter to help these people. If you want to know more details about the shelter or how to help visit their website. The 3 Districts in the Dallas/Fort Worth area rotate hosting the event. This month the Roark district brought food for 450 people. The menu included ham sandwiches, chips, bananas and 6 cases of tomato basil soup! Plus 15 gallons of tea and lemonade. Thank you Jack Powell and the ARL deli for getting the food ready. Everyone loved the food and we even had enough left for a second helping for many people. All of those involved had a great time and it was a great way for us to give back to the community.
