Women On The Move

A Note from Michele Ervin

We are excited to announce a focus group we have put together called "Women on the Move."  Our goal is to meet and share ideas on how to enhance the promotional process for women at Jason's Deli.  Thank you to Rachel Huerta, Nicky Pete, Catherine Baiocco, Melaine Cabrales, Hillary Childress, Nick Roark, Pete Verde and Ragan Edgerly for your time and efforts with this project.  Joe and Shelley Tortorice were our special guests at the last meeting.  You will hear more about our initiatives soon!

 

Chicago Building Community Relationships

These are pics from the 6/10/11 Arlington Heights Park District Picnic in the park. This community branding event was a big hit for the Palatine and Schaumburg delis.  Every mom, dad, and kid were raving about how great Jasons Deli is. The nice weather brought out over 2,200 people.

A Great Story!

Here is a great story about one of our restaurant professionals, Ms. Sarah Volker.  Several days ago she was in the dining room of our Oaklawn – Chicago deli and noticed one of our guests in desperate need – a choking victim. Her quick response in performing the Heimlich maneuver probably saved the life of this precious human being.

Sarah, we are all so very proud of this heroic deed.  You have set a wonderful example for all of us to be vigilant about the safety of the people we serve!

You are a true Servant Leader.

Congratulations MJ!

Proud parents Lisa and Michael Johnson welcomed Katelyn Diane Johnson into the world on June 8th! She is 21 1/4 inches long and weighs 8 pounds 8 ounces! The deli world would like to wish them all the best and welcome the newest member of The Jason's Deli family! Mom, baby and Dad are all doing great!

Roark District BAM Meeting

On 5/27/11 the Roark district got together for their quarterly BAM meeting. Travis Johnson 1A NFW gave a great presentation on the DCS. Several of the managers in the district had a mustache growing competition and the results were pretty funny. After the meeting we played golf and had good social time as well. Thanks Jack Powell for being the grill master!

The Northern Region's Newest Family Addition

Congratulations to Blake Smith, 2A from IVH.  On 5/30/11 he welcomed to the world his new beautiful baby girl, Kathryn Scarlet Smith.  Mom and baby are doing great!!
