Servant Leader Chris Northrup!
As you all know we had a very large order weekend before last going to
Passion 2011. Murphy showed up at the BOW location Friday night and
caused havoc. The reefer went down and would not cool the product.
John called me at 11 p.m. and I proceeded to give him Mr.Northrup's
number. John first tried to contact Penske, but they were not
available for help as it was a dispatch number. Chris got the number
for the wrecker service that was on call for Penske and got the ball
rolling. NOT ONLY did he get the ball rolling, HE SHOWED UP AT THE
DELI AROUND 11:30!!!!!!! This man climbed up on the truck,assessed the
damage, filled it with freon, and tried to get us going. He then
contacted the service after he determined that there was a crack in
the condenser, and lit a fire under them to remedy the situation.
Chris then took Randy,a driver , over to the Grand Prairie location to
wait for the new Penske truck to be delivered. And to top it all off,
he personally called me the next day to make sure everything went
well. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!?!
It's not Chris's job to make sure that we get the operations end of
things in order, but he makes it his business. And this is not the
first time he has done whatever it takes.
Thank you Chris for your Servant Leadership...you are a great value to
our company.
